1. ALWAYS use liquid measuring cups to measure liquid ingredients(water,milk,etc), and dry measuring cups to measure dry ingredients(flour,sugar,etc). ^
2. Measuring spoons are used for both dry and liquid ingredients
3. Baking powder is NOT the same as baking soda!
4. For best results, eggs should always be at room temperature.
5. To soften butter quickly, cut it into smaller pieces.
6. When a recipe calls for just "eggs", they mean LARGE eggs.
7. When a recipe calls for just "brown sugar', they usually mean LIGHT brown sugar.
8. To make a recipe lower in fat, use yogurt instead of oil or melted butter. It tastes better than applesauce!
9. Be careful not to overmix or overbake!
